Mid Month Update: May So far — Checking in

We are halfway through May. It’s the perfect time to check in, assess our progress toward monthly goals, and set ourselves up to finish the month strong. Let’s dive in.

How are we feeling about May?

May has been fantastic. We’re following the plan flexibly, I’m exhausted some days, but I still manage to work out five times a week while working full-time and attending networking events. I’m moving full steam ahead, yet I’m also making sure to find time to relax and give my body and mind a well-deserved break. This month, my focus isn’t on spending money, which is a relief. After purchasing the camera, we’re in survival mode, and we’re also pushing hard to pay off the car by the end of the year. Overall, we’re doing great.

Goals for May

Losing 3 lbs or making it to 280 lbs

Right now, things are looking good. I adjusted my calorie deficit to 1900 calories, which I haven’t consistently reached yet, but I still maintain a deficit even when I go over my target. It will take some time for me to consistently hit 1900. One thing I’ve noticed is that halfway through my allotted calories, I always feel full. The extra calories I consume are usually because I want to satisfy a specific craving. I’m working on resisting the urge to give in to my taste buds until the next day or making sure I save 300 calories by the end of the evening to accommodate any cravings.

Brand

We are making great progress and consistently sharing new content. Last week, I published four blog posts. Take a look—you’re sure to find something that interests you.

I have a clear plan for the upcoming content to be published on the calendar. I am organizing and scheduling everything efficiently. Additionally, I have begun redesigning the OG Website, and this website is slated for a complete renovation.

Language

  • I have learned the entire Thai alphabet and mastered 22 out of the 95 characters. Currently, I am developing a curriculum focused on learning words and alphabets, constructing sentences, and practicing writing words in the Thai script. I might need to focus on Thai Vowels, because they are kicking my butt.
  • I’m learning Japanese for fun, not seriously. We’re doing okay. I recognize some words, but it can still be confusing.
  • Spanish: I am recognizing things and can form sentences. Duolingo is helping.

Summary

Overall, the first half of May has been positive and productive. I’m staying attentive and enjoying life, keeping up with work, and making progress toward my goals. It’s funny—my goal in April was to reach 280 pounds or lose 3 pounds. Although I didn’t hit 280 in April, by May 3rd, I weighed exactly 280.
