Me and Thee | Character Analysis

Peach – Peachayarat Janekit

Peach is looking for a peaceful life where he pretty much has achieved. He is able to take vacations whenever he wants. He takes jobs whenever he wants because money isn’t a problem for him. He comes from a traumatic pass that lands him and his sister in an orphanage that he still goes back and visits to see the children and have fun with him. He became responsible for his sister at a very young age, and she is quite literally the only person in his life. Everything was calm before he met. Khun Thee before Khun Thee, he only had a sister to worry about

When Peach meets Khun Thee, he realizes that he has someone to lean on and that Khun Thee would give him the world if he asked. Coming from humble beginnings, Peach doesn’t need physical items, which is challenging for Khun Thee. For Thee wealth and money is nothing to him, so he is willing to give anything to Peach, but Peach doesn’t want money. Peach had to build himself up so money matters and holds value and he also cannot be bought by money.

Khun Thee – Theerakit Kian Lee

Khun Thee comes from a sheltered background from a wealthy family. His father taught him and his brother to be guarded at all times and also shared that love should be at the back of their minds. From the beginning of the series, he sets out to find his great love and he learns through Peach that love cannot be bought. He falls head over his heels for Peach and he does everything to make Peach comfortable, including not wearing his gun around Peach because that would make Peach uncomfortable. Make no mistake, Thee will kill for peach and he shows that in the series multiple times if it wasn’t for Peach, he will kill many to protect Peach.

Peach and Kian

Peach learns quickly that Thee will do anything for him so he becomes very conscious of everything he says. Making sure he isn’t too sarcastic because he knows Kian doesn’t recognize sarcasm. For example, Peach tells Kian not to fire someone because they need the money and needs to support themselves. He then makes a joke that he doesn’t have to worry about money because he has Thee to support him. Thee tells his secretary to stop all of Peach’s photography work and blackball him from the industry so that he can now be the soul support for Peach.

PondPhuwin: This is the most spicy series for Pond Phuwin. We’ve got the kissing moments and the most intimace moments in any of the series. This series has skyrocketed to the top of my list of PondPhuwin series.

Sibling Dynamics

Roman and Thee

Rome and Thee are the mafia brothers that cannot be with each other at all times for fear that they will be targeted by people who would want to hurt them. Our first look at the brothers, they are a bit distant and cold to each other. Then we see them at Rome’s birthday party, where they’re goofing off together mocking and teasing each other. Even at the end Rome sends Kian and Peach’s adopted children to their room on the night of their wedding to interrupt them. Thee teases Rome about his love from monk, Thee’s best friend and secretary.

Peach and Lookplum

Peach and Lookplum have a more big protector relationship protect her from everything. He does her hair and treats her very delicately. Lookplum looks up to her brother and also fears of losing her brother to Khun Thee. She recognize the love that Kian and Peach have and her brother is the only person she has.

Then we see the siblings collide Kian adopts the same protective sibling relationship with Plum that Peach has. Khun Thee and Peach both want to take care of Peach and make sure he has nothing to worry about. Khun Thee makes sure that Plum understand that instead of losing her brother she is gaining one in him. By the end, we kind of see that she’s not only gained another brother, but she gains two and possibly three, in Rome, Kian, and Mok. She also gains a mother because Kian’s mother has always wanted a daughter, but never had one. She gains one in Lookplum, a daughter she is able to braid her hair and spend time with her.

Cinematography

The visuals and sound with the combination of comedy cut through the serious topics of abuse, parent parental absence and secluded lives. Kian is also into old dramas and we get a lot of unserious moments with him and we get impromptu songs selections within the series all done by Kian, the comedic relief.

Themes and Takeaway

Opposite attract quiet

Peach and Kian are complete opposites. Kian brings chaos to Peach’s life something that Peach did not notice that he needed. Peach brings realism to Kian’s life and teaches him how to be more in tune with the environment around him

Everybody needs a protector

Peach is strong and independent. It is the strong and independent ones that need a protector. Peach still protects his sister and also takes care of everyone around him. He now has back up as his husband and sister vow to take care of him. At the end of the series, we knows that Kian will protect him financially, physically, and in any way, he needs it to be

Rating

I’m gonna give this a spicy rating of two chili peppers. It is definitely the spiciest I’ve seen from these two couples, but it wasn’t too out there.

My rating for the series is a five out of five. I would recommend and would definitely be rewatching again. I’ve already watched it twice.

Summary

Me and Thee is my favorite series from Pond Naravit Lertratkosum and Phuwin Tangsakyuen so far. Through Peach and Khun Thee’s journey, the series explores what happens when independence meets devotion and when someone who has always been the protector finally learns it’s safe to be protected too. With strong sibling dynamics, chosen-family warmth, humor woven into heavier themes, and the strongest chemistry I’ve seen from this pairing yet, Me and Thee earns a full five-out-of-five rating from me—and a permanent top spot in my PondPhuwin ranking.
