Knock Out | Thailand | 2025 | Dee Hup House | 18+
It’s time for another Thai BL Series review, and today we’re covering Knock Out. Watching it for the first time, I literally gasped at the shocks and plot twists. From the start, I expected only moderate violence and, of course, knew the couple would end up together. But by the finale, I was on the edge of my seat, trying to predict the ending and figure out who the real villain was—because it kept changing. Let’s get into the review!
What is Knock Out about?

Knockout follows the story of romance, conspiracy, and organized crime. Keen ( played by Nice Boripat Jamsat)is struggling to find a job, and things get worse when his father passes away violently, leaving him with debt he must repay. On top of that, he gets beaten by his father’s creditors. To hide and stay safe, Keen seeks refuge at a Muay Thai gym. There, he meets Than (played by Gunner Natsakan Chairote)* , a famous boxer who is caged off and guarding his heart. He refuses to let anyone in. Keen tries to persuade Than to fight to help pay off his debts, but Than refuses at first. Over time, they grow closer, Than eventually agrees to fight again, and after many twists and turns… happy ending!
Spoiler alert: if you haven’t watched the series yet, you might want to stop here.
Character Analysis of Knock Out
Keen

Keen
Sweet and naive, but also intelligent and innovative. Keen takes on the challenge of turning around the Muay Thai gym where he’s hiding, putting his brain to work instead of his fists. He doesn’t know how to fight—but he doesn’t need to, because Than handles the heavy lifting. He doesn’t have any more family members after his father dies and he feels like he has no close relations. Phet is the owner of a Muay Thai gym and boxing camp and he takes Keen in and protects him. He pushes Than to also protect Keen. Keen finds his replacement family in the boxers at the camp, Than, and Phet. He does everything to protect the family that he has made. Refusing to lose anymore people and we see this when he has a nightmare where he sees everyone die and basically cause him to try to shield everyone. Jumping in front of gun to protect Than, something he wouldn’t have done at the beginning of the series, coming up with an elaborate plan to get Phet back after he is kidnapped by the Phuwin, the main antagonist.
Than
A well-known boxer with a stone-cold exterior and a guarded heart. Than has fought many opponents but struggles to find worthy competition. His heart is guarded we learn because his father left him (#daddyissues) and basically tried to push him out of the boxing world since he was a kid. Unbeknown to him, it was because his father was protecting him from the underground boxing circle that would basically turn him into a slave. Throughout the story, Than grows close to Keen and becomes his protector. Sparks fly and he will do anything to protect Keen. Than’s heart basically opens up to love and establishing relationships again with his fellow boxers all thanks to Keen.

Primary Couple in Knock Out : Keen and Than

Keen and Than serves as the primary couple of the series and they do start the relationship with the trope enemies to lovers. Keen and Than aren’t quite enemies to lovers, but they didn’t start off on the best foot. They grew to like and even love each other, after they were able to understand where each other was coming from.
Keen is seen as sweet and innocent, which is completely forgotten by me when I see the spicy scenes. He is spicy and uses his disguised cuteness to take Than off guard consistently. It also doesn’t help that his voice also sounds sweet and innocent with a face to match. Than definitely matches Keen’s Freak, but Keen is the starter.

In Bl series, communication is usual the couples main problem. NOT IN THIS SERIES AND I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS. Once they were together, They were TOGETHER. I loved that they didn’t have an internal conflict, it was them against the world and I am not mad at it. I am absolutely happy to see this it was refreshing. I do like some of the miscommunication of other series, but this was absolute chef kiss because not all couples should have a breakup scene because they thought they saw someone kissing someone else.

No this does not mean, we don’t get any jealous moments. Once Than had Keen, any person who got close to him made him jealous and that led to many spicy scenes in PUBLIC AREAS. The screams I let out to see this level of spice. Love this dynamic.
Secondary Couple in Knock Out : Itt and Mawin

Itt ( played by Guide Kantapon Chompupan) and Mawin ( played by Dech Narongdet Rungarun) are our second couple. Itt is a fighter in the Muay Thai camp and he is the love interest of Mawin, the son of the owner of the camp. Mawin looks for ways to make his father proud and it seems hard because he keeps making mistakes. Itt has a sister that has a medical issue and that motivates his actions through the series, including his betrayal of the group. In the beginning, Itt’s mindset I protecting his only family his sister and then he gets closer to Mawin. Itt and Mawin empathizes with each other on trying to do better. It’s a sweet relationship.

Keen and Than are the freaks, but doesn’t mean Itt and Mawin doesn’t have a spicy scene they are just a little more tamed. I think it’s great seeing them as the shy ones, but still show how they love each other and support each other.
Themes of Knock Out
Betrayal and Trust in Knock Out

I felt betrayed by many of the characters because they are framed as the good guys and then they basically switch up and become the bad person. I feel like betrayal is the biggest theme and also trust which goes hand and hand. The reason Than can’t trust anyone was because of his father’s initial betrayal. His father tells him to stop boxing and then leaves his mother and him at a young age. Then his best friend, Typhoon (played by Earth Thanakrit Talasopon) the Muay Thai camp, leaves the camp to join Than’s father boxing camp. The father that abandon him and his mother and told him to quit boxing. Adding insult to injury.
After that, he is closed off and Keen is about to build trust and break down his barriers.
I love that there is no betrayal in the main two couples, and there was no evidence that they would go against each other. I will say Itt does betray the camp by drugging Than which could have killed him. This is bad, and I am not excusing it, but he never betrayed Mawin. The group does understand when he confess because he was protecting his little sister and he is connected to everyone in the camp and he assumed that the scheme was not going to physical harm anyone in the long term. After he confessed to the group, he was ten toes down for the group.
Phuwin is the main antagonist of the series, he is pulling Itt’s strings to betray the boxing camp. He main motive is getting more boxer slaves for his underground boxing camp. He is fixated on the camp because he wants Than, but he will take all the boxer while he is at it. Throughout the series, he also becomes obsessed with Keen and want both of them to be on his side.
Phuwin kills Keen’s father, because he tried to expose Phuwin.
Knock Out brings the Spice

Let’s just say it was very steamy in certain scenes and locations. For example, a car. Very hot. On my radar, it is not quite the spiciness I have seen because I have seen a lot, but it definitely makes the list. Than and Keen carried the series towards a 5 chili pepper rating, very proudly. It was refreshing to see a bold couple who were spicy and not shy after the deed was done.
Spicy Level : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
